Finally get to ride the winding country road.

  • The weather is cloudy, some wind, temp nearing 60, and 90% chance of rain tomorrow and colder. For a few months now I've longed to take the FZ6 out on a winding country HWY that passes through some small rural towns, and goes by the old homeplace of Paul "Bear" Bryant, legendary football coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide. Just a bit down a HWY from there is the birthplace of Johnny Cash, legendary country singer. There must be something special in the creek water to produce two legends from such small places in the same area not far from each other.

I mentioned that on my last ride I'd misplaced my winter riding gloves. Well, y'all can stop looking now because I found them. I may not need them but will take them with me just in case.

I'll have to wear the liner in the mesh jacket, and the winter riding pants. Oh well, finally I get to ride that road. I plan to have some lunch in the big city of Fordyce, AR and make the trek back on the same inviting country road. Just think! Spring will be here and the bikes will be rolling a lot more.
