I Get the Weirdest Ideas On the Road

  • I'm getting ready for a little ride with the old lady.  Maybe an hour or two on the bike, no more.  She makes for a poor back warmer, because she wants a bike of her own.  That's my girl.

http://www.openroadjourney.com/loadroute.asp?rid=5746 There's the ride I'm looking to take.  Maybe I'll cut a couple more turns in, but for her sake, I'll most likely keep it quick.  Planning this route out gave me an idea though, and one that I'm really going to look into doing.

I think I'm going to start a blog, not just here on Cyclefish, but on the great wide internet, about local rides.  A couple entries ago I may have bitched and moaned a bit about the lack of riding companions here in Lexington, and without physically grabbing people and forcing them onto their bikes, this may be the best way for me to fix that problem.  Maybe it's just a matter of no one knows about these killer roads yet.

So I think that's going to happen.  A little duct tape and my phone camera to start with, until I can afford a helmet cam (I can barely afford the air I'm breathing), and a few words here or there about the road, and the sights to see, and I think I can do something to alleviate the symptom of a lonely road.

Keep your eyes open, maybe I'll have something more to say when I get back.

    Keep the dirty side down,
