Hi,
I'm new, Love the site. I can't find what I'm looking for though. A comprehensive Review of sound systems for cruisers.
I found little equipment, & no reviews. I prefer to buy after talking to real people who have installed systems. I Ride a Honda Shadow 2003
& I want to just hook up my ipod, & have it stay charged. I've Heard good things about Rumble Systems, but now I can't find them.
Tuner not necessary. I like it LOUD. ;-)
Please Advise.

I had Thunder Road speakers on my Road King and they were OK for lower speeds but failed at anything above 60mph. Plus there was no real bass. Also I had a lot of trouble with them. I sent several back under warranty and the head unit switches went bad. I really did not like the look of speaker housings on the bars so I have removed them completely. Planning to build my own system as soon as I have some free cash to play with. In my opinion these bar mounted sets may work OK at low speeds and on quiet bikes but that is there limit.

Before you use ear buds - check the laws in your state. For some reason cagers can plug in their i-pods - but some states won't allow motorcycles riders to use ear buds.

I saved alot of money by making my own.... amp $50 and two infinity 3" speakers for $80.
The rest of the stuff was scrap metal laying around my shop. I don't ride with a windshield so I can't hear it over 60mph but it's great for running around town.
