The Kentucky Bike Rally tells a story of growth, passion, and camaraderie among bikers.
The Beginning: Little Sturgis Rally (1993-2010)
The Kentucky Bike Rally started off as the Little Sturgis Rally in 1993, organized by the Sturgis Chamber of Commerce as a charity event. The rally was inspired by the iconic Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota but offered a smaller, more intimate gathering. Over the years, it has grown into a beloved tradition, drawing riders from across the country.
A New Chapter: Name Changes and Ownership
In 2011, the rally underwent its first major transformation, rebranding as the Kentucky Bike Fest. A year later, it settled on its current name, the Sturgis Kentucky Bike Rally, which reflects its unique identity while honoring its origins.
This shift coincided with a change in leadership. Carlene and Bill Thomas took over ownership in 2011, with Kristi Lovell stepping in as the General Manager. Their vision and dedication have propelled the rally to new heights, enshrining the Kentucky Bike Rally as THE RALLY.
A Permanent Home: Union County Fairgrounds
