Ignition Issue?
My 2000 sportster xlh883 is cutting out when I call for power on the hiway. As the engine cuts out, the speedometer drops to zero. Is this an ignition module issue or crank sensor?

Okay, made a liar out of myself. Turns out to be the battery, which tested as good. replaced it anyway. All is good now.

Turns out it wasn't the crank sensor. It's the stator. Though checking all the connectors is sterling advise. Thanks folks.

I don't believe so. Lights stay on etc. could a bank indicator or VOES cause this?

Thanks, I'll be rebuilding the carb in a week or so anyway. Black9 - nope stock pipes.
