I still think some of the best biker parties I have been to were in the Ozarks. The best is almost a toss up between Pawhuska Oklahoma spring run and Perry Lake anual run in Kansas City Kansas. At Perry Lake it is private property and no cops. Almost ANYTHING goes, as long as everyone is having a good time. What is the place you will always say was the best bike run ever?  less

I was pulled over twice today for "noise violations in a residential neighborhood." When my Soft-tail Springer is completely stock and therefore legal. HMMM......  Well i guess somethings will never change and profiling is one of these things.... Not a 1%er, but they are not excluded from this.

Being Native American, I have a fond love of the TOT Ride across Alabama, to be able to ride for those that walked is truely a soul warming experience. I know in the past couple of years there has been a fight between two groups about this ride, but it isn't about them it is about the people before us and it time to let it rest and all get along, and ride this ride for the proper reason. Sorry didn't mean to rant just my 2 cents worth.

Have been up your way many times as I love CloudLand Canyon SP, and the other areas around where you live are great for riding. If you are ever down in the Kennesaw area give us a hollar as we are always looking for others that love to ride as much as we do.

Talked to a LEO one day on the subject of what he looks for on a biker to justify pulling you over. First on his list was a loud exhaust, second on his list was the bike itself, he said that Harley Ultra Classic and Honda GW were hardly ever pull over for the fact that in his eyes if you had that much invested in your ride the chances of you doing anything to illegal were not enough to warrant a pull over, third was the clothes, jacket and patches, in his eyes the three piece patch was like a warning light that you were up to no good. This he said had been passed down from several fellow LEO who all thought the same way. If is a shame that the MC have been targeted like this, but like it has been said in other threads, if you dress the part then be prepared for the what happens next. I now have ditched almost all my black leather for brown, and I even have noticed a difference in the way people treat you with just a color change. I am sorry it is just the stereotype they we who ride have to deal with, as if we didn’t have enough to worry about.

Greetings to all here, just a few lines to let you all know just who I am. A Native American, Osage Tribe, 54 years young, married to a woman that took over 40 years and 3 marriages to find, she “completes me”, avid Native American flute player, been riding for over 35 years. Have the bike I have always wanted, 08 Ultra Classic, added a sidecar/hack last year to be able to take Bubba on the road with us, he is wheelchair bound, and loves his special ride. Love the way the wind feels in your hair, on any day, warm or cold, I ride year round, blessed with 4 wonderful children, and 3 grandchildren. Haven’t always been the best person, and at a time I was my worst enemy, but have cleaned up my act somewhat, and try each day to do something to bring a smile to someone and effect what will happen seven generations from now. Love where I live, one day to the beach, less than 3 hours away from the “Dragon, U.S. 129”, and usually there once or twice a month. So if you see the long haired Indian, on a gold/black Harley with a red hack, give us a wave. Look forward to meeting some of the fine people on this forum and sharing a few rides and stories.
